PROJECT INFORMATION

Natural Gas Power Plant & Energy Transmission Line – Istanbul, Türkiye

Client: Camiş Madencilik A.Ş.
Operating Company: Camiş Elektrik Üretimi Otoprodüktör Grubu A.Ş.
Total Area: 9,800 m²
Location: Istanbul, Türkiye
Installed Capacity: 55 MW

This project covers the construction of a natural gas-fired power plant and associated energy transmission line developed in Istanbul for Camiş Madencilik A.Ş. The facility forms part of the Topkapı Power Plant, operated by Camiş Elektrik Üretimi Otoprodüktör Grubu A.Ş., and was commissioned in the first half of 1998.

With an installed capacity of 55 MW, the power plant was designed to operate as an autoproduction (captive power) facility, ensuring reliable and continuous energy supply for the Topkapı Şişe Glass Factory. The project played a strategic role in securing energy independence, operational continuity, and cost efficiency for industrial production processes.

The scope included the construction of power generation structures, auxiliary buildings, and the energy transmission infrastructure required to distribute electricity safely and efficiently within the industrial complex. The design and execution were tailored to meet the operational demands of industrial-scale power generation, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and long-term performance.

Delivered as a critical industrial energy infrastructure project, the facility reflects strong expertise in power plant construction, industrial energy systems, and integrated transmission solutions, supporting uninterrupted production and sustainable energy management for large manufacturing operations.
