This project comprises the construction of a Research, Development, and Laboratory Center located adjacent to the Topkapı Glass Factory, developed for Paşabahçe A.Ş. as part of Şişecam’s long-term innovation and technology strategy. The facility was conceived as a specialized center to support advanced research activities critical to glass production and industrial efficiency.
The R&D and laboratory complex focuses primarily on energy efficiency, one of the most significant cost and performance drivers in glass manufacturing. Core research areas include integrated furnace models, improved heat-transfer efficiency, new refractory materials, advanced glass melting technologies, and high-temperature material development, all aimed at optimizing production processes and reducing energy consumption.
In addition, the center supports the development of new products and applications, advanced process control systems, and high-precision measurement techniques based on cutting-edge technologies. Extensive modeling and simulation studies are carried out to validate experimental results and support innovation across all research stages.
Delivered as a high-performance technical facility, the project reflects strong expertise in laboratory and R&D building construction, technology-driven industrial environments, and specialized research infrastructure, contributing directly to the advancement of glass manufacturing technologies in Türkiye.
